La Familia Mexican Restaurant

My co workers and I eat here at minimum once a week, and have been for over a year now. Easily the best tacos in the area. A+ (The sweet tea is amazing as well)

Hole-in-the-wall authentic Mexican restaurant (La Familia)! Tacos & carne asada fries were fresh & flavorful with that distinct salsa taste! Food, service, & ambience were excellent! Owners were so nice!

not one complaint every time I go to this place. I get tacos or the Taco salad They're friendly and nice and treat everyone like family. It's a really good place if you want authentic Hispanic food closest thing. I've had since going to Mexico 6 years ago. I really enjoyed this place. The tortures aren't too bad neither Chicken or beef. Whatever you prefer, it's amazing. I love la familia. And i'm almost forgetting about that tamales for a dollar fifty amazing.

Absolutely the BEST Mexican food in Statesville. I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. It may be a small, hole-in-the-wall spot, but don’t let the outside fool you! The food is incredible and the experience is always top-notch. Their horchata is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for authentic, they are IT. When I was studying photography, I chose this restaurant for a photojournalism project and had the opportunity to go behind the scenes. I was genuinely impressed by how clean it was. They even made me a meal while I was there! The family that runs it is so sweet and welcoming. You can truly feel the heart behind everything they do.

Being from California, I have been searching the entire East Coast for a Mexican food restaurant that actually knows how to cook REAL Mexican food, it took me five years but I finally found La Familia here in Statesville and they DO NOT DISAPPOINT! Hands down, the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving from California (THE BEST BY FAR!) And to top it off, their prices are VERY reasonable! My son and I both got entire meals, drinks, and sides of rice and beans for $21!! They gained a new loyal customer today!! I’ll be back two or three times a week, really, it’s that good!!

The food is absolutely amazing here, with great customer services. This place is a statesville local gem. If you like authentic Mexican flavors, this is the place to go!

If you like true authentic Mexican food, look no further! Don't let the outside appearance of this place dissuade you! It is a hole-in-the-wall but the food is spot-on! I went with my Mexican friend and he ordered some off-menu items (Pupusas) that were killer! The food is delicious! We also tried the Gorditas which I can highly recommend. The staff is very friendly and the drinks were cold! I can highly recommend this place if you want true and authentic Mexican food - a nice change from the bigger Americanized Mexican food places.

The food was amazing and fresh, portions perfect and the drink portions were larger than expected - great for a horchata lover. Staff was friendly and welcoming, everything was super clean! So glad we stopped.
